Blogging hmmm.... Sounds kind of Fun!!

Well, i am going to give this blogging stuff a try. I keep up with so many friends through this I thought I may as well give it a try. I have been getting these emails titled Hello are you still alive, Where have you gone, and Is everything ok?? Well the answer to that is yes I am still alive and everything is fine here in Big 'ole Guthrie, TX. Journey is usually sitting here when I am reading through everyones blogs catching up and she has decided that she wants her picture to be on the computer too!! So I have decided we will give this a try. I take so many pictures that I never get to show anyone so I thought I would share those here too.

This summer has been so busy for us so far. We have not been still for one second it seems. If we are not traveling to a ranch rodeo for Justin we are going to something for Riggin, and if we are not doing that we are traveling to a playday. When you live in Guthrie, TX anything you do you must travel... UHHHHH it gets really old. You know, I grew up around water, swimming, relaxing, skiing, and playing with friends. That is not the way the Johnson family operates and it has taken me a long time to adjust to this lifestyle, to tell you the truth I don't know if I will ever get used to it. There is just nothing appealing to me about sitting out in the 108 degree weather watching my children ride horses with long sleeve shirts and pants on. The funny thing is that it doesn't bother them a bit. Especially Journey, she loves it, and Riggin has never known anything different and he craves it. As long as she is horseback she is perfectly satisfied. Crazy, she is nothing like me when it comes to that kind of thing. It has been so hot here. Almost unbearable!! It has been at least 106 degrees everyday now for a week. We have been pulling our horse trailer a lot this summer and the tires on the trailer are not wonderful but not awful either. Needless to say between the not so good tires and the 108 degree weather we have had about 8 blowouts in the last two weeks!! I am tired of changing tires. We are out of spares so now we must buy all new tires. Wonderful!!

We left out Saturday headed to Seymour to a double mugging that Justin was entered in and as we are getting closer to Seymour Justin says, "I think one of the tires is going flat, no I don't think, I know it is." After thirty minutes of getting that hole plugged we were off to the double mugging. We were both a little nervous about this because Justin has only done this double mugging stuff a couple of times. He was entered up with a guy that does this almost every weekend. However, Justin did very well and he and Frank ended up winning the whole thing. I was so proud of him. The stock was huge and very wild!! We drew pretty good. One guy told Justin something like, "You didn't even get him roped until you were at the other end of the arena." Justin just looks at him very calmly and says, "What place did you get?" Very funny coming from Justin who never really says anything ugly to anyone!! I was kind of proud of him for coming back with that remark so quickly. Anyway we left there and headed to the lake. Stayed there and swam and rode the sea-doo on Sunday (my kind of day!) and then headed back to Guthrie with our fingers crossed that the plugged tire would make it. I am driving and all of a sudden what do you know BOOM!! It wasn't even the plugged tire it was one that Justin had just changed on Friday. We get it changed, cross our fingers and take off again. We get on the road for less than a minute and BOOM!! BOOM!! Two tires blow. We didn't even say anything, we just kept driving to the nearest friends house and dropped the horse and trailer off and came home. Justin is there as we speak buying new tires and putting them on the trailer. Poor guy. I have learned that this is the life on the rodeo trail!!

Well this is all for now. I am going to try to keep up with this thing and keep everyone updated on our lives. Believe me there is never a dull moment. I have got to go for now and get all the laundry done. We leave for Arlington next week. Riggins birthday is Thursday and we are going to a Rangers game, Six Flags, and Hurricane Harbor!! Yeah!! I am going to try posting some pics hope this works. Talk to you all soon.

Hope everyone has a great day!
